Calming Creations was founded by Katie Challberg, a special education professional with over 20 years of experience supporting neurodiverse students. Throughout her career, Katie worked closely with students navigating autism, anxiety, attention challenges, and emotional or behavioral regulation difficulties.

After years of watching trendy fidgets cycle through her classroom—often becoming distractions rather than supports—Katie was inspired to create something different: a calming, effective, and classroom-friendly sensory tool.

Each fidget is hand-sculpted from clay by Katie herself, making every piece unique. They are thoughtfully designed to meet sensory needs while reflecting student interests, with options ranging from favorite animals and mythical creatures to custom creations designed to resemble pets or beloved characters.

Calming Creations are quiet, discreet, and teacher-approved. Each fidget includes a soft band to keep it secured to a student’s hand and is infused with a light, soothing scent—creating a subtle, multi-sensory experience that supports focus and regulation without distraction.
